Our professional principles are informed by:

  • The Christian understanding of loving God, neighbor, and self.
  • The Buddhist understanding of compassion as the agent of transformation.
  • The Hebrew understanding of Tikun Olan, or Heal the World

The foundations of our ethical principles can be found in the great faith traditions and their commitment to the transformation of the world through being a beneficial presence. In particular our principles have been heavily informed by the following:

  • The Christian understanding of loving God, neighbor, and self.
  • The Buddhist understanding of compassion as the agent of transformation.
  • The Hebrew understanding of Tikun Olan, or Heal the World

In addition as a psychologist and member of the American Psychological Association Dr. Voyle adheres to the Ethical Standards of Psychologists. The Clergy Leadership Institute's Coaching Principles are designed to provide general ethical guideline for Coaches working from a variety of the helping professions.

Coach Training

In addition to providing Coaching, the Clergy Leadership Institute also provides appreciative inquiry based Coach Training for those who would like to develop their coaching skills.

We offer a blend of residential intensives and teleconferences to train you to appreciatively use your gifts for the benefit of others.

Our Certificate in Appreciative Coaching program is especially oriented toward training clergy to coach: peers, staff, and volunteers; and psychologists and counselors who are interested in coaching clergy and consulting to congregations.
